A shocking altercation unfolded in Malad East on March 28 when a disagreement over a food bill escalated into violence. Ranjit Singh, who operates a vada pav and samosa stall in Shivaji Nagar, was allegedly attacked by a customer during an argument.

According to reports, the accused, Lakshmidhar Malik, visited the stall around 8:30 pm and ordered a samosa cutlet. When asked to settle the bill, he reportedly disputed the price, began using abusive language, and caused a disturbance. Although he eventually made the payment online, tensions continued to rise.

Singh urged Malik to leave and stop creating a scene, which allegedly triggered a physical confrontation. During the scuffle, Malik is accused of biting Singh’s fingers, causing them to bleed. Singh’s son Aryan, who was present at the stall, along with staff members, rushed to intervene after hearing his cries.
