A blaze involving nearly ten autorickshaws erupted in the Pant Nagar locality of Ghatkopar East on Wednesday afternoon, officials confirmed. The incident caused concern among residents in the vicinity as thick smoke billowed into the air. Authorities were alerted promptly, leading to an immediate emergency response. While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, the situation demanded swift action to prevent it from spreading further. According to information provided by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Disaster Management Cell, the fire broke out opposite Vidya Bhavan School, located behind Gagangiri Building in Ghatkopar East. Upon receiving the alert, the Mumbai Fire Brigade quickly dispatched multiple firefighting units to the scene. Fire personnel immediately initiated operations to contain and control the flames. Their prompt and coordinated efforts helped prevent the fire from escalating into a more serious situation. Fire department officials later confirmed that the blaze was successfully brought under control and completely extinguished by 1:34 pm.
