A fire broke out in a six-storey residential building in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area on Saturday, March 1. The fire erupted in the flat on the fifth floor of Vikas Apartment, located behind Pant Nagar police station in Ghatkopar east, around 12.45 pm, the fire brigade official told the news agency PTI.

The fire station official said that nobody was injured in the incident, adding that a fire engine and a water tanker were rushed to the site for a firefighting operation.

The fire was extinguished at around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon after the efforts of Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) firefighters.
