A major fire broke out in a residential apartment in Mumbai’s Nagpada area on Monday, February 2. The blaze started in a flat on the second floor of a five-storey building near City Central Mall.

According to the Mumbai Traffic Police, traffic slowed down near Kailas Apartment due to the incident. Congestion was reported as fire brigade vehicles and ambulances were parked in the area.

"Traffic Movement Is Slow At Kailas Apartment Near City Central Mall (Nagpada) Due To Fire Caught," Mumbai Traffic Police in a post on X.

After receiving the alert, the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), along with local police, reached the spot and began firefighting operations. No injuries have been reported so far. Further details are awaited.
