A fire broke out at the Sai Sapphire building in Mumbai's Powai area at around 9:30 am on Thursday morning, March 20. According to the information, a blaze erupted in a duct on the 17th floor of 24 storey residential building. However, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

Residents of the building alerted the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), which declared a Level 1 fire at Sai Sapphire Building near Gopal Sharma International School this morning. The cause of the blaze in the high-rise residential building is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, a massive blaze erupted at two scrap godowns on Wednesday evening. The godowns were completely gutted, and the owners faced major losses. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, reported the news agency PTI.

According to the report, the fire was reported in one of the godowns located at Wadavali Naka in the Bhiwandi area and quickly spread to an adjacent warehouse. Three fire bridges reached the spot shortly after a distress call from a local resident. The firefighters managed to control the blaze, and cooling operations are underway.
