Videos of the skywalk near Kandivali East being taken over by the squatters and hawkers. Many raised concerns over the inconvenience caused to them while travelling.

A user on X posted a video of hawkers outside the Kandivali station and wrote, “Look at the situation outside Kandivali East railway station of Western Railway. Despite repeated complaints, Municipal Corporation is not taking action.”

On this post, another user added a video of the skywalk to the trail and wrote, “No place on skywalk. It is house for people where they stay rent free eat drink and sleep. Number of stalls are there @BJP4India @PiyushGoyalOffc @PiyushGoyal @BJP4Mumbai”

On this post, the official X handle of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation replied, “Please share the exact location for us to help you better.”

People also alleged that there are no lifts and escalators are half the time shutdown. This creates problems for senior citizens. They are claiming that the place is highly mismanaged by the authorities.
