A seven-year-old boy tried to save his mother and two teenage sisters from being assaulted by his uncle, reported Mid Day. While defending his family from his late father’s brother, as he threw boiling water at them over a property issue in Bandra, the boy broke his arm. In this incident, the boy’s mother and sisters sustained burn injuries and were admitted to Sion Hospital. On February 8, at around 12:30 pm, the boy’s uncle, along with his wife and two daughters, marched into the victims’ residence in Bandra East. As they were having a property dispute, the boy’s uncle assaulted them. The Nirmal Nagar police on Monday arrested the daughters of the accused and are looking for the couple.

The boy’s mother and father got married 20 years ago. In 2025, the boy’s father passed away after he was diagnosed with kidney stone-related complications. The family was residing in a 1BHK flat.

After this, the accused demanded that they vacate the flat. An argument broke out between both parties, and the accused then assaulted the woman and her daughters in a bid to get them to vacate their home. Hearing their voices, the boy intervened and, in an attempt to defend them, was attacked by his father’s brother, reported Mid Day. The boy’s mother sustained 25% burn injuries.

After the victim’s husband passed away, her in-laws allegedly started to harass her. They demanded that they vacate the house and hand over the property. Arguments turned violent many times, and the accused forcefully entered the house multiple times.

In the recent argument, the boy’s mother sustained 25% burn injuries. Her face, stomach, hands, and left thigh were severely burned, reported Mid Day. She was shifted to Kasturba Hospital from Sion Hospital for further treatment. One daughter received 7.5% urn injuries. Her head, hand, and wrist got burned. The other daughter received minor burn injuries over her face.
