A horrific act of violence has shaken the Kamaraj Nagar neighborhood of Ghatkopar, Mumbai, where a four-month-old baby girl was tragically murdered by her own father. Sanjay Kokare, a 40-year-old man, has been arrested and charged with the crime, igniting widespread condemnation from the local community.

Police reports indicate that Kokare, already a father of two sons, harbored deep resentment towards the birth of his daughter. This alleged disdain fueled recurring disputes with his wife. On March 1st, seizing an opportunity while his wife was at work, Kokare is accused of strangling the infant with a curtain cord, resulting in her immediate death. Upon returning home, the mother discovered her deceased child and promptly reported the incident to the Pantnagar Police Station.

Law enforcement officials acted swiftly, apprehending Kokare and initiating a murder investigation. Authorities are currently exploring all possible motives, including the suspect's mental state at the time of the crime, and whether the murder was a result of premeditated malice or a violent outburst of anger. The investigation aims to uncover the full circumstances surrounding this devastating tragedy.
