After the rickshaw driver who molested a school girl in Borivali was arrested by the MHB Colony police, now another case of sexual harassment of a school girl by a rickshaw driver has come to light in Chembur. In this case, Chembur Police has registered a case against the unknown rickshaw driver under the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita and POCSO Act and is searching for the accused.

According to the complaint filed with the police, the incident took place between July 22 and September 13. The 13-year-old victim lives with her family in Kurla and studies in a school in Chembur.The girl had taken a rickshaw to go to school but the rickshaw driver sexually assaulted the victim during the journey. The accused took the victim to a deserted building near Chembur Naka and tried to rape her.

When the girl protested, the accused threatened to kill her mother if she told anyone about the incident. The girl was very scared of the incident. When the mother saw a change in the girl's behavior, she took the girl into confidence and asked her, then the girl told about the wrongdoings done to her by the accused rickshaw driver. After this, the mother reached Chembur police station with the girl and lodged a complaint against the accused rickshaw driver.

In Borivali, the accused rickshaw driver Naresh Singh (43), a resident of Gorai, sexually assaulted the girl while she was on her way from home to school in her rickshaw on the morning of August 31. The MHB Colony police arrested Singh from Nallasopara.
