Mumbai Police are investigating the suspected suicide of a 41-year-old man at a hotel within the Airport Police Station jurisdiction. The deceased, a resident of Uttar Pradesh who had been living in Mumbai, was found at the Sahara Hotel. A suicide note recovered from the scene implicates his wife and a relative in alleged harassment.

"A body was discovered at a hotel within the Airport Police Station limits," stated DCP Manish Kalwaniya. "A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) section 108. According to the suicide note, the deceased has accused his wife and her relative of harassment. We have initiated a thorough investigation at the Airport Police Station."

The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the deceased's mother. Police are currently gathering evidence and will be conducting interviews to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged harassment and the man's decision to take his own life. Ahead of his alleged suicide, the animator also put a "Do not disturb" sign outside the door of his room. This latest incident draws comparison to Bengaluru-based techie Atul Subhash, who died by suicide in December 2024. The software engineer left behind a 24-page suicide note in which he accused his wife and her relatives of harassment and also detailed his years-long emotional distress from marital issue.
