Train traffic on the Ambivali to Titwala section of the Central Railway has been severely disrupted after a fire near the railway tracks damaged signal system cables. The incident has caused a major signal failure, leading to train delays and overcrowding at stations along the route.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the grass near the tracks between Ambivali and Titwala stations, which also engulfed critical signal system cables. As a result, the signal system was shut down, bringing train movement to a standstill.
The disruption has led to a massive gathering of commuters at Shahad station and other affected stations. Railway authorities are currently working to restore the signal system and resume normal train operations. Passengers are advised to check for updates before planning their travel on this route.
