In a shocking incident aboard a Mumbai local train, a man disguised in a burqa allegedly entered the ladies-only compartment near Ghatkopar station and attempted to molest women passengers, triggering panic among commuters. According to eyewitnesses, the accused boarded the women’s coach during peak hours and behaved suspiciously. When alert passengers confronted him, he reportedly tried to escape and eventually fled by jumping onto another moving train.

The incident led to immediate outrage and concern over passenger safety. A formal complaint has been lodged at the Ghatkopar Police Station, following which the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) have launched a joint investigation.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from both the station and the train to identify the suspect. Teams have been formed to locate and capture the man, and a case is currently being filed.
