Mumbai– The Mumbai Division of Central Railway has announced a special traffic and power block for the launching of foot overbridge (FOB) main girders between Ambarnath and Vangani. The block will take place on the night of February 22-23, 2025 (Saturday-Sunday) from 1:30 AM to 3:00 AM, affecting both UP and DOWN lines. The affected section extends from Ambarnath (excluding all crossovers and sidings) to Vangani (excluding all crossovers).
As part of this project, seven girders, each 12 meters wide, will be launched for the Kalyan-end FOB at Badlapur. Additionally, four girders, each 4 meters wide, will be launched for the Badlapur–Vangani FOB at the mid-section.
Due to the block, Train No. 11020 Bhubaneshwar–CSMT Konark Express will be diverted via Karjat–Panvel and will make a scheduled halt at Panvel. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
Following Suburban Trains will be short terminated
CSMT – Karjat local leaving CSMT at 00:12 hrs will be short-terminated at Ambarnath station.
CSMT- Badlapur local leaving CSMT at 23:51 hrs will be short-terminated at Ambarnath station.
Parel – Ambarnath local leaving Parel at 23:13 hrs will be extended upto Badlapur station.
Karjat – CSMT local leaving Karjat at 02:30 hrs will short originate from Ambarnath station instead of Karjat.
Last Local for Karjat before block - CSMT departure at 23:30 hrs and Karjat arrival at 01:49 hrs
First Local for CSMT after block - Karjat departure at 03:35 hrs and CSMT arrival at 05:56 hrs.
