Western Railway (WR) has announced special local trains for Shab-e-Barat for the convenience of passengers. Special EMU services will run between Churchgate and Virar on the Western Line to ease the festive rush on the 15th night of Shaban, as many passengers travel from suburban to south Mumbai to visit shrines.
WR announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle that two special Suburban EMU services will be operated on the night of Tuesday, February 3 and the early hours of Wednesday, February 4.
The special train will operate to cater to the extra rush during the occasion, particularly during the early morning hours.

Shab-e-Barat Night
On the night of Shab-e-Barat, mosques and shrines are open the whole night for devotees. Some mosques performed special prayers during the night and spent the whole night in worship. People also visit their ancestors' graveyard to pray for them.
Shab-e-Barat is also known as the night of forgiveness. Some scholars believes praying on this night, all mighty Allah will forgive sins.
