The Mumbai Metro Line 3 has issued a public advisory informing passengers about a temporary closure at Churchgate Metro Station. As per the announcement, the A4 entry and exit gate, located near Marine Plaza, will remain shut from April 4 until late night on April 5. The metro authority shared this update via its official social media platform, urging commuters to plan their journeys accordingly. It further stated that the affected gate will resume normal operations on April 6 at 5:55 am. Officials expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and advised passengers to use alternative access points during the closure period.

In a separate development, the metro corridor recently enhanced commuter convenience by opening additional gates at key stations, including Jagannath Shankar Sheth Metro Station, Acharya Atre Chowk Metro Station, and Worli Metro Station. These newly operational entry and exit points have improved connectivity to important city landmarks. For instance, Gate B4 at Jagannath Shankar Sheth station now provides direct access to Maratha Mandir, while Gates A1 and A2 at Acharya Atre Chowk connect commuters to the MCGM Engineering Hub. Additionally, Gate A2 at Worli station offers convenient access to Kamala Mills Compound.

The Aqua Line, recognised as Mumbai’s first fully underground metro corridor, has significantly strengthened north-south connectivity across the city and is steadily gaining popularity among daily commuters. Despite these improvements, persistent issues with mobile network connectivity in underground sections continue to trouble passengers. Earlier, Vodafone services were available between Aarey JVLR Metro Station and Acharya Atre Chowk stations, but the service has reportedly been discontinued. This disruption has raised concerns among commuters, particularly regarding safety and communication during emergencies, highlighting the need for reliable network access across the entire underground stretch.
