At least three to four people are feared injured after part of a Mumbai Metro Line 4 pillar collapsed onto moving vehicles in Mulund West area of Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, February 14. The incident took place on the busy Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg (LBS Road) at around 12:20 pm.
According to the information, the incident occurred near the Johnson & Johnson manufacturing facility, where construction work for a new Metro line is currently underway. Emergency services, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) and local police, were dispatched to the site immediately.
An auto driver and a woman were reported to be trapped under the debris of collpase slap of a pillar, according to the FPJ.

The section of a cement Metro pillar that gave way during active construction, falling directly onto an auto-rickshaw and a car passing beneath the Mumbai Metro Line 4 bridge. The MFB official said around three to four passengers of the auto and a car sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for their treatment. However, their specific conditions and identities have not yet been formally released. The accident has led to significant traffic congestion on LBS Road.
