The Mankhurd police have registered a case against a 19-year-old girl for allegedly kidnapping and repeatedly harassing a 17-year-old minor boy under the pretext of 'one-sided love'. The accused reportedly pressured the minor into a physical relationship and later kidnapped him after he refused her marriage proposal.

According to police sources, the victim, a resident of the Mankhurd area, was known to the accused, identified as Sania (19). The girl, who lived in the same neighborhood, allegedly harbored a one-sided attraction toward the minor.

The ordeal began in August last year when the accused allegedly lured the boy to her residence and pressured him into a physical relationship. The victim told the police that Sania threatened him with dire consequences if he disclosed the matter to anyone.

Exploiting his fear, the accused allegedly continued to harass the boy between August 2025 and February 2026, whenever she was alone at home. Investigation revealed that the girl was constantly pressuring the minor to marry her. When the boy refused, she allegedly threatened to self-harm and eventually kidnapped him to coerce him into the alliance.

The matter came to light after the boy managed to free himself from her clutches and narrated the entire incident to his family members. The family immediately approached the Mankhurd police station to lodge a formal complaint.

"Based on the victim's statement, we have registered an FIR against the 19-year-old girl under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and kidnapping charges under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNs)," said a police official.

While the case has been registered, the police are yet to make an arrest. The accused is currently absconding, and a search operation has been launched to trace her whereabouts. Further investigation is underway.
