Mumbai Police Constable Dies by Suicide at Home; Investigation Launched

The 37-year-old police constable Subhash Kangane committed suicide on March 3 at roughly around 4 PM. He committed suicide by hanging himself at home. It has not yet been established what caused the suicide. He was currently working at Kurar Police Station.

Senior Police Inspector Ajay Aphale stated that an additional investigation is being conducted into it, and an accidental death case has been reported to the Dindoshi Police Station.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police station's senior police officer and DCP, Smita Patil, arrived at the location, and an investigation was launched.

At this point, the police have not released an official statement about this matter. Police officials said the case is being thoroughly probed, reported the Free Press Journal. Constable Kangane's family members and coworkers will be questioned to ascertain the true cause of the suicide.

Subhash Kangane was moved to Kurar Police Station from Malwani Police Station three months ago.
