A shocking case has come to light where a minor student was sexually assaulted after being threatened with the circulation of his nude photographs. In connection with the case, the Ghatkopar Police on Sunday arrested a private tuition teacher. The accused has also been alleged to have physically assaulted the complainant by kicking and punching him. Ghatkopar Police are currently conducting further investigations in the matter.

 

The complainant is a 16-year-old student who used to attend tuition classes conducted by the accused residing in the Ghatkopar area. According to the complaint, the accused teacher had been exploiting him for the past one year.

 

The 24-year-old accused used to call the victim to his home under the pretext of tuition and studies. During one such visit, he committed obscene acts and took nude photographs of the victim using his mobile phone. Since then, he had been threatening to circulate the pictures and continued to sexually abuse the minor. This continued for almost a year. When the victim resisted, the accused allegedly assaulted him with kicks and punches.

 

Fed up with the constant harassment, the 16-year-old student finally approached the Ghatkopar Police and filed a complaint. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the teacher under Sections 115(2), 351(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and sections 4, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

 

 

The accused had been inviting the complainant's child to his house since February 5 last year on the pretext of studying. On the pretext of studying, he would invite the victim to sleep at his house. Fed up with the usual harassment, the complainant complained to the police in this matter on Saturday. Accordingly, the police immediately registered a case and sent a team to the accused's residence. They took the accused into custody from there. The accused was arrested in this case on Sunday morning.
