Light rainfall is likely today, April 9, in the city and suburbs, according to Google Weather's forecast. City witnesses partly cloudy skies with a temperature around 28 degrees Celsius. Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) of IMD predicted hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail in isolated pockets in the districts of Konkan.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature in the city is expected to hover at 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum 24 degrees Celsius. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was at 41 in the morning, which falls under the 'good' category.

A report released by Skymet, a private weather forecasting agency, has raised concerns among farmers and the general public. Skymet has predicted that this year’s rainfall is likely to be below average.
Meanwhile, the weather in Solapur and Sangli districts of western Maharashtra is expected to turn cloudy after noon, with the possibility of rain showers at some places. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers has been forecast for Latur and Dharashiv districts in the region.
