A tragic road accident took place on Monday when a speeding truck crushed a 62-year-old biker to death in the Kurla. The victim, Jiaullah Inayathussain, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The Kurla Police have detained the truck driver, identified as Anil Kumar T. Thomas (57), and an investigation is currently underway.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 12 p.m. when Zikarullah Shafiullah, the complainant, was riding his bike from Santacruz to Chembur with his uncle, Inayathussain, as a pillion rider.

While navigating through traffic in Kurla, Inayathussain lost his balance and fell onto the road. Tragically, a speeding truck approaching from behind ran over his abdomen and lower body, causing instant death. The police have taken the truck driver into custody, and further investigation is underway.
