A violent road rage incident at a Mira Road housing society has left several people injured and police searching for the perpetrators. Early Monday morning, a man and his accomplices allegedly attempted to run over eight people and violently assaulted security guards at the JP North Barcelona Building Society in Vinay Nagar. The accused, identified as Kashish Gupta and Akshit Gupta, arrived in an unregistered vehicle around 6:30 AM.

Denied entry for failing to provide a flat number, they reportedly became aggressive.  Security guard Rajkeshwar Singh stated in his complaint that his colleague, Rakesh Pawar, had alerted him to the suspicious SUV.  Upon questioning, Kashish allegedly verbally abused the guards, expressing anger at being stopped.

CCTV footage and other videos show Kashish reversing the car and repeatedly ramming it into security guards at the main gate.  Three guards sustained serious injuries in the attack.  Despite reportedly carrying a country-made gun (desi katta) and making threats, no shots were fired.  The accused, allegedly intoxicated, fled the scene before police arrived. Kashimira Police in Mira Road have registered an FIR, and a medical examination of the suspects is pending.  The investigation is ongoing.
