Goregaon Police have arrested a 51-year-old security guard for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old girl by taking her to the terrace under the pretext of showing her pigeons. The victim had come to the building for private tutoring, police said. A case has been registered against the accused security guard under charges of molestation and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

 

 

According to the police, the victim had gone for her tuition as usual on March 7. At that time, the security guard of the building took her to the terrace under the pretext of showing her pigeons and molested her. The victim was scared by this incident and subsequently became afraid to go to her tuition. When the victim's mother questioned her on March 12, she narrated the incident. Following this, the victim's mother filed a police complaint.

 

The police registered a case of molestation and under the POCSO Act. The police arrested the accused from the building where he was working. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
