In a shocking incident reported from the Mulund West area of Mumbai, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a watchman in her residential building. The Mulund police have arrested the accused watchman, identified as Vijay Shinde, following a complaint filed by the victim's family.

 

 

 

According to the police, the incident occurred on the evening of February 18th, around 6 PM. The young girl had gone outside to play and was returning home when the accused, who was present in the lift with her, allegedly molested her. The accused not only touched her inappropriately but also clicked pictures of her on his mobile phone. He even attempted to take her to the 39th floor of the building.

 

However, other residents of the building intervened after learning about the incident and immediately confronted the watchman. During the interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime.

 

 

Following the confession, the victim's family filed a police complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused. The Mulund police have registered a case against the accused under Section 74 of the BNS and Section 8 of the POCSO Act. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
