A 65-year-old retired doctor died by suicide at his Mumbai Central residence on Saturday afternoon. Police were alerted around 3 PM after the doctor was discovered in the garden area of his residential complex. He was immediately transported to JJ Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Nagpada police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) and interviewed the doctor's family. Authorities learned he had ceased practicing medicine six months prior. Following the post-mortem examination, the doctor's body was released to his family.
