In a shocking incident reported from Mumbai's Kurla area, two minors have been detained by the Chunabhatti police station in connection with the alleged rape of a 5-year-old girl. 

 

According to the complaint filed by the victim's mother, the two accused boys took the young girl to a place in Kurla and allegedly sexually assaulted her there. The heinous act came to light when the girl, writhing in pain, narrated the ordeal to her mother.

 

 

The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mumbai where she is currently admitted and receiving medical treatment. The Chunabhatti police have registered a case against the two minors under relevant sections of the BNS Act, including sections 64 and 65(2), as well as the POCSO Act, which deals with sexual offenses against children.

 

Following the registration of the FIR, the police apprehended both the accused minors and have sent them to a juvenile home. 

 

The Chunabhatti police are currently conducting further investigations into the matter to ascertain the full details of the crime and to ensure that justice is served.

 

This unfortunate incident has highlighted the vulnerability of young children and the need for increased vigilance and awareness to prevent such crimes in the future. The community is demanding swift and stringent action against the perpetrators to ensure the safety and security of children in the area.
