Mumbai: In an unexpected event of incident occurred in Kurla area, where a minor dispute over the price of coriander escalated into a knife attack. Attack occurred just for rs. 10 between customer and vegetable vendor. Incident occurred on Tuesday when customer visited a vegetable stall in Kurla to buy coriander.
As per the ABP news report, vendor identified as Srinivas Kamble, allegedly demanded Rs 20 for a bunch of coriander. Customer bargained to give it for Rs. 10 and was aware of the local rates as he lived and worked is the same area. Normal bargain turned into a heated argument at the stall and situation turned violent and Kamble allegedly attacked the customer with a knife. The victim sustained a head injury in the assault.
The injured customer was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. Police from V.B. Nagar Police Station arrived at the scene, recorded the victim's statement, and registered a case against the accused under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Mumbai Police are searching for the accused, a Kurla vegetable vendor, and further investigation is underway.
