In a shocking incident reported from Malad, a 37-year-old fish vendor was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted by three persons known to her, who later recorded obscene videos and used them to blackmail her for ₹5 lakh.
According to the complaint, the accused — identified as Zakir, Ajit and Saudagar — were acquainted with the victim and frequently visited her residence in Malad. Between November 20, 2025 and February 26, 2026, the trio allegedly administered intoxicating substances to the woman at her home. After she lost consciousness, they allegedly sexually assaulted her and recorded obscene videos.
The accused allegedly circulated some of the explicit videos on social media, leading to her defamation. They later showed her the videos and threatened to make them viral again unless she paid ₹5 lakh. Fearing further humiliation, the woman reportedly paid the demanded amount. However, the accused allegedly continued to threaten and blackmail her for more money.
Unable to bear the repeated threats, the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint on Thursday.
Based on her statement, the Kurar Police Station registered a case against all three accused under relevant sections pertaining to sexual assault, criminal intimidation and extortion.
Police said the accused fled before the FIR was registered, and efforts are currently underway to trace and arrest them.
