Mumbai, Maharashtra (April 9, 2025): The Chembur area of Mumbai was once again shaken by the sound of gunfire, after two unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire on a 50-year-old builder near Diamond Garden. The victim, identified as Sadruddin Khan alias Sadru, sustained serious injuries in the attack and has been admitted to Zen Hospital, where doctors have declared his condition to be stable.

According to police sources, Khan is allegedly linked to the oil mafia and has several criminal cases registered against him in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, mostly related to oil theft and other offences.

The incident took place while Khan was travelling home to Belapur in his black vehicle via the Sion-Trombay highway. Chembur Police have registered a case against the unknown assailants and are currently examining CCTV footage from the scene and surrounding areas to gather leads. Investigation is underway.
