Mumbai: A tragic incident occurred in Borivali west were a 24-year-old man died after falling from the 10th floor of a residential building while repairing AC. Deceased identified as  Vivek Yadav, a resident of Nalasopara East and was working with Indo Cool company from past three years. 

According to Hindustan Times report, incident occurred on January 2o, 2026 around 1.31 pm at Flat No. 1003 in Crescent Heights, IC Colony. Deceased was trying to fix the air conditioner when he lost  his balance and fell to the ground. He suffered a  serious head and leg injuries and became unconscious. Following the fall  local residents quickly took him to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali West, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Vivek Yadav's colleague Eighteen-year-old Mohammad Hasam informed the police that there was no safety net around the building. He also stated that the company failed to supply any safety gear.

On January 21, the police filed a case under the BNS against Ajay Mishra, 48, the owner of Indo Cool, and Rakesh Yadav, 30, the manager.
