Two men posing as police officers were apprehended for collecting donations near Nahar Amrit Shakti in Chandivali, Mumbai. The suspects, donning khaki uniforms resembling those worn by Mumbai Police, were seen approaching residents and soliciting funds under the guise of supporting a cause for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fraudsters further fueled their deception by carrying photographs of police officers and a logo that mimicked official police insignia, making their actions appear legitimate.

The men had been operating for approximately a week before vigilant citizens noticed their suspicious activities and filmed the encounter, which quickly gained attention on social media platforms. When confronted by the public, the suspects failed to provide any credible explanations for their actions
