Mumbai: Unidentified Man Dies After Being Runover by Unknown Vehicle in Retibunder Area ; Police Probe On
Mumbai: In an tragic accident an unidentified man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Mahim's Retibunder. This tragedy occurred on early hours of Wednesday, May 7 and following the accident police rushed to the spot and started investigation.
As per the complaint lodged by the Mahim police station sub-inspector Mahendra Shrikrishna Bagwe, incident occurred at 12:09 am on May 7 and when control room got alerted they reached the spot and saw injured person lying in the pool of blood. Authorities immediately took the injured person to Sion hospital, but according to FPJ reports doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Mahim police has registered an FIR against the unidentified vehicle driver for rash driving and negligence causing fatal injuries. Police are currently investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, in another incident a 46-year-old man died after being accidentally hit by a tempo driven by his own son while parking the vehicle in a basement parking area. The MIDC Police have registered a case against the son for causing death due to negligent driving. Police havaldar Hemkant Kini and his team responded to an accident at Vasant Oasis parking. They found Ramdeen Yadav severely injured, hit by a tempo driven by his son, Shubham Yadav.
Shubham explained that while parking after unloading cargo, he accidentally accelerated, hitting his father. Ramdeen was declared dead at Cooper Hospital. Kini filed a case against Shubham for negligent driving, and he was detained. Police sources reported Shubham was traumatized.
