Mumbai Water Cut: 24-Hour Supply Disruption in Chembur, Govandi and Mankhurd On May 18
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will cut water supply for 24 hours in some wards of Mumbai, including M East and M West, on Monday, May 18. The scheduled supply will be undertaken due to the commissioning work of the Amar Mahal (Hedgewar Udyan) to the Turbhe low-level reservoir water tunnel.
Affected Areas
Supply will be suspended from Monday, May 18, from 10 am to 10 pm on Tuesday, May 19 in Chembur East and West, Govandi, and Mankhurd, according to the FJP report.

The civic body has urged citizens in the region to store extra water and use it judiciously. BMC also request people in the area to boil or filter water before drinking, at least for the next seven days after supply resumption, as a precautionary measure.
