Mumbai: Residents and commercial establishments in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area will face a temporary disruption in water supply on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertakes essential pipeline maintenance work.

According to an official from the BMC, a 600-inch diameter Tulsi water pipeline located at Bandra Cabin in Bandra East has become outdated and is scheduled to be decommissioned. The work to shut down the old line and carry out necessary upgrades will take place on Tuesday evening.

As a result, water supply to the BKC area in H-East Ward will be suspended between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM on the same day.

The civic body has urged residents to store sufficient water in advance and use water judiciously during the disruption period. Furthermore, as a precautionary measure, citizens are advised to filter and boil drinking water for the next 4 to 5 days following the pipeline work.

The BMC stated that the upgrade is expected to significantly improve water supply in the H-East Ward once completed. Civic officials have also appealed for public cooperation and patience during the maintenance activity.
