Mumbaikars will be facing  30-hour water supply cut in several parts for maintenance and repair work of its water supply system. On February 12 to 13 BMC will carrying out important projects to improve the water systems in the M East and M West areas, ensuring a more reliable water supply.

Water cut is being carried out for the installation of a 1200 mm diameter sluice valve on the inlet water main at the Turbhe Low Level Reservoir and to connect a 1200 mm inlet pipeline to the AMT-II tunnel shaft. These improvements will make the water distribution system in both wards more reliable and efficient.

Affected Areas: Govandi, Chembur, Mankhurd and Shivaji Nagar

Water Cut Timings: water supply will remain completely shut from 2 am on February 12, to 8 am on February 13

BMC has advised resident in the affected areas to make sufficient storage of water in advance to avoid any inn convince and use water wisely. During the shutdown make sure you boil and filter drinking water for three days as a precaution after supply is restored.
