Mumbai Weather Update: City Records 36.2°C, Will Stay Hot and Humid; Air Quality Remains 'Good'

The maximum temperature in Mumbai on Wednesday was 36.2 degrees Celsius, as the city continued to experience humid and hot weather. On Wednesday, April 16, Mumbai will likely see clear skies, according to the most recent weather reports from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Throughout the day, temperatures will rise from a cool 25 degrees Celsius in the morning to a comfortable 35 degrees. The sun came up at 06:21 AM and went down at 06:56 PM.

 

The Santacruz observatory in suburban Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 24.1 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Mumbai weather updates. The observatory in Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 34.1 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius, according to statistics from the weather department. Based on the most recent Mumbai weather report from the IMD, the city and its suburbs will get "mainly clear sky" for the next 24 hours.

 

With an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 70 at 9:05 AM on April 16, the Central Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app stated in its most recent Mumbai weather updates that the city's air quality remained in the "good" category. The AQI was 'excellent' in several parts of Mumbai, according to the SAMEER app dashboard. With an AQI of 87, the Bandra Kurla Complex recorded "good" air quality. AQIs of 45, 51, and 64, respectively, indicated "good" air quality in Colaba, Malad, and Borivali.

 

The AQIs for Byculla, Vile Parle, Kandivali, and Ghatkopar were 53, 56, 78, and 61, respectively, indicating "good" air quality. At the same time, Deonar's AQI of 121 indicated "moderate" air quality. The SAMEER app indicates that Thane had a "good" AQI of 52 and Navi Mumbai had an AQI of 99, both of which fall into the "good" category.

 

From 0 to 100, the air quality index is regarded as "good," 100 to 200 as "moderate," 200 to 300 as "poor," 300 to 400 as "very poor," and 400 to 500 or more as "severe.”
