A 24-year-old woman from Nalasopara, Mumbai, has been arrested after allegedly attacking her stepfather with a knife on Monday, severing his genitals. The incident, which occurred around 3:00 pm in a chawl in Nalasopara East, is said to be the culmination of over two years of alleged sexual exploitation, according to the woman. The 56-year-old stepfather sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali for medical treatment.

According to the Tulinj police, the woman attacked her stepfather after he allegedly attempted to force himself on her on Monday. She reportedly persuaded him to blindfold himself, tied a cloth over his eyes, and then attacked him with a knife, resulting in the severing of his genitals.

Screaming in agony, the man reportedly ran out of the house, covered in blood. The woman pursued him and stabbed him again on the road. Shocked bystanders witnessed the scene and began recording videos of the woman brandishing the knife. One bystander contacted the police emergency number.

Upon arrival, the Tulinj police took the woman into custody and sent her for a medical examination. Police officials stated that they are in the process of registering a case of rape against the stepfather and an offense of attempt to murder against the woman, under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation into this disturbing incident is ongoing.
