Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mumbai on Monday, February 16, 2026. PM Modi will inaugurate several infrastructure projects valued at approximately Rs 29,500 crore, according to Mumbai Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Yogesh Sagar to the news agency IANS.

The Prime Minister Modi will lay foundation stones of several development projects to modernise Mumbai’s transport and trade hubs. Sagar confirmed that the visit would focus on three primary sectors: ports, railways and road infrastructure.

"Several major development projects for Mumbai will be undertaken," Sagar stated. "Projects worth approximately Rs 29,500 crore, initiated through the central government, will have their foundation stones laid and be inaugurated during this visit."

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron is also visiting the city on February 17. Mumbai is preparing for a high-profile visit on February 16 and 17. Alongside high-level bilateral engagements as part of President Macron’s three-day state visit to India (February 17–19). 

Macron will be accommodated at Taj Colaba and will visit Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan), where he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to issue a joint statement outlining shared priorities and strengthened cooperation between India and France.
