Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and Others Summoned By Guwahati Police in India's Got Latent Case

Guwahati Police have summoned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, Comedian Ashish Chanchlani, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and others in connection with the India's Got Latent controversy case. 

According to reports, Assam Police officials confirmed that summons will also be issued to Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija. The police team from Guwahati is in Mumbai and coordinating with city police for their investigation into the matter. 

The police have filed charges against multiple social media influences and YouTubers, including show host Samay Raina, for allegedly promoting obscenity and making sexually explicit remarks.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed via social media that an FIR had been registered against several YouTubers and influencers for inappropriate discussions aired on the latest episode of India's Got Latent. Those named in the complaint include Ashish Chanchlani, Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, and Samay Raina.

The case has been registered under sections 79, 95, 294, and 296 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 67 of the IT Act, 2000. Provisions from the Cinematograph Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, have also been invoked.
