Mumbai Police has said that the crime branch unit has issued a Look Out Circular against jailed notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Harry Boxer for threatening Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and demanding Rs 20 crore. The threat voice note was sent to the actor's manager from an international number and was verified by the Punjab and Haryana Police.
An FIR was registered by Mumbai Cyber Police and security around the actor has been increased, said Mumbai Police, reported by the news agency IANS. The voice on the voice note belonged to Boxer.
Boxer is a Rajasthan native believed to be holed up in Canada. The complaint was lodged by actor Ranveer Singh's social media handler and manager Vijay Subramanian, founder and group CEO of collective Artist Network. According to the complaint, the crime branch's south region cyber cell registered the FIR on February 17 against Boxer.
The Mumbai Police division of south region cyber cell, as well as the anti-extortion cell, are jointly working on the case. As per the complaint, Ranveer Singh's manager received two to three threat calls from an international number on February 10. When he ignored the call, the caller identified himself as Harry Boxer send three voice messages demanding Rs 20 crore.

He said he received multiple calls from an international number beginning with +340, a country code believed to be linked to Virgin Islands.
The calls came a week after the Feb 1 firing at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu bungalow. The police verified the threats received from Boxer before registering the case on Singh's manager's complaint. Security around Singh's residence was enhanced following the threats, and he has been advised to be cautious while travelling for film shoots. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
