The Tilaknagar Police have arrested a social media reels star and small-time Marathi television actor in connection with a Bullet motorcycle theft case. The accused has been identified as Sunil alias Rehan Subhash Chaudhary (32). Police have recovered five stolen Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles from his possession.

According to police, Rehan Chaudhary is a native of Muktainagar taluka in Jalgaon district and is currently residing with his wife in Badlapur East. Known on social media as a reels creator, he has acted in minor roles in Marathi TV serials and films.

As per police records, a Royal Enfield Bullet belonging to Sandeep Omprakash Sonkar, a resident of Kurla West, was stolen on January 21 from the L.R. flyover area near Tilaknagar railway station. Following a complaint, a case was registered at the Tilaknagar Police Station.

During the investigation, the Tilaknagar police team analysed CCTV footage from the crime scene and carried out technical surveillance, which helped trace the accused. Further inquiry revealed that Chaudhary was residing in Badlapur East and has around 17 cases of motorcycle theft registered against him across Mumbai.

Acting on this information, police laid a trap in Badlapur and detained Rehan alias Sunil Chaudhary. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. Five Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles linked to different theft cases were seized from him.

Police investigations have revealed that for the past few years, the accused had been stealing Bullet motorcycles and selling them in different cities. The case has caused a stir as it emerged that Chaudhary was allegedly running a bike theft racket while maintaining a glamorous social media presence and acting career, said Senior Police Inspector Santosh Dhemre.

Further investigation in the case is underway.
