In a shocking incident from  Kalyan  a former corporator from the Shiv Sena was reportedly beaten up by a woman worker of the Shiv Sena’s Shinde faction. The altercation, which took place at Ahilyabai Chowk, was caught on video and soon went viral on social media. The former corporator, Mohan Ugle, a three-term corporator, later joined the Shiv Sena Shinde faction, while the woman involved, Rani Kapote, is a worker from the same faction.

The incident reportedly stemmed from a heated argument between the two over who should receive credit for securing funding for a road project near Mahindra Singh Kabul Singh School. According to sources, the dispute began after a Bhumi Pujan for the road was conducted on Sunday, with both Ugle and Kapote claiming responsibility for bringing in the funds for the project. Speaking to the media, Rani Kapote explained that Ugle allegedly used abusive language during their argument and displayed strange body language, which led her to take defensive action.

Kapote further claimed that Ugle inappropriately touched her during the scuffle, prompting her to retaliate physically. Mohan Ugle, responding to the incident, emphasized that women are protected by law, adding that his party should take strict action against Kapote for her behavior. Both Ugle and Kapote, members of the Shinde faction, have sparked rumors of an internal rift within the party.
