As many as 49 players ae trying their luck in SN Shrivastava & Kalavatidevi Shrivastava Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Nagpur District Chess Association.

A virtual inauguration of the tournament was done at the hands of Nisha Shrivastava, the daughter-in -law of Late Shrivastavas in whose memory the tournament is being held. VK Shtivastava and other family members were also present.

The total prize money for the tournament is Rs 5,000. The time control of ten minutes with five second increment have been given to all the players. Total eight rounds will be played. On Sunday the fifth round will be played at 6 p.m. followed by next rounds. The tournament is conducted under the supervision of IA Pravin Pantawane and FA Umesh Panbude. Those who are participating in the tournament include Kimaya Paunnikar, Nilaya Kamdi, Vinod Rajurkar, Krupal Wanjari, Bhavik Chaudhary, Shraddha Bajaj, Dishank Bajaj, Ramteke Ayush, Ramteke Sumedh, SK Laha, Sadanand Mahajan, Aniruddha Meshram, Savinay Meshram, Pranavi Bhagat, Shanaya Shelkar , Vidhi Mishrikotkar, Vivan Thool, Aparnita Jagtap, Manan Mehadia, Shiva Iyer, Aarush Bachewar, Riddhi Agrawal, Patil T S, Ritwik Agrawal, Archhit Ashish Wagh, Harsh Nachankar, Pramod J Ramteke, Lakshita Rathod, Kalgaonkar S, Aditya Bodkhe,Shaurya Harshal Dhawangale, T Chandran, Shivansh Rajurkar, Jayesh Sure, Nilay Kulkarni, Vyankatesh S Dande , Chetan Deodhagale, Akshay Patil, Aryan Dinesh, Prerak Darvekar, Kaustav Barat, Reyansh Chaudhary, Naitik Panhekar, Aarav Dharmik, Akshal Kamdar, YM Shyamkuwar, Advik Balpande and V K Shrivastava.
