After winning the toss, BOI opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 157 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. Former Duleep Trophy player Paresh Sutane was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Ajay Barange (29) and former Duleep Trophy player Yogesh Ghare (24) made valuable contributions.

For SBI, Krishnankant Bobe picked up 2 wickets for 32 runs, while Aditya Gokhale, Arun Raikwar, and Kundan Singh claimed one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 158, SBI fought bravely and took the match to the final over. SBI needed 16 runs off the last over for victory. On strike, Arun Raikwar reignited hopes with a stunning sequence of 6, 4, 4 off the first three deliveries. He then played a dot ball on the fourth delivery and took a single off the fifth ball to level the scores.

Off the final ball, SBI needed just one run to win, but in a desperate attempt to secure victory, the batsman was run out, and the match ended in a dramatic tie. For BOI, Rajesh Wankhede and Yogesh Ghare were the standout bowlers, claiming two wickets each while conceding 30 and 22 runs respectively. The match proved to be a true thriller till the very last ball, with both teams sharing the points, two each.
