Former Indian stumper and national selector Saba Karim and veteran spors journalist Vijay Lokapally graced the occasion. As many as 14 sportspersons from the city apart from winners of various BSC tournaments were rewarded

during the function. “Chess queen WGM Divya Deshmukh was rewarded with the Late VV Naik Trophy for her outstanding performance throughout the year. Similarly, Vidarbha Under-23 captain Mandar Mahalle, basketball organiser Shiv Chhatrapati award winner Shatrighna Gokhale. Khushroo Poacha, chess coach Sheetal Panbude, Smita Thakare, Adv BhanudasKulkarni, Vidarbha Ranji coach Usman Ghani, handball player Harpreet Singh Randhawa, basketball player Gunjan Mantri, carrom player Nikhil Lokhande and sports journalist Amit Sampat were honoured.

Along with Saba Karim and Lokpally, BSC president Ramesh Thakur, Prafulla Nandedkar, Ravi Joshi, Rajesh Joshi, Dilipkumar Kapri, DGM, Rajeev Sawrav, DGM, SBI, Jai Narain, Zonal Manager, Bank of India and S. Sivakumaran shared the dais.

Ramesh Thakur welcomed Shri Saba Karim and presented him floral bouquet, shawl, sreefal and a memento. Sharad Padhye and Ravi Joshi welcomed Vijay Lokapalli. Rajesh Joshi, Paresh Sutane, Tribhowan Meshram, Pravin Gurung, Mangesh Puranik welcomed other dignitarues on the dias. Saba Karim was also welcomed by Shri Amit Yenurkar, Mrs.Yenurkar and Gaurav Jaipuriya of MHK Sancheti High School with Shawl, sreefal and memento.

Prafulla Nandedkar read out the list of prize winners and Ramesh Thakur proposed vote of thanks. Programme was compered by Dr Ram Thakur.
