Nagpur, April 26

City's Prachita Patil bagged gold medal in 2nd WKT International Virtual Kata Championship – 2021 organised by Karate Kokusai Independent Federation India. The day saw karatekas from the women categories bringing fame for their nation. Iranian women's team ou-shined everyone by miles bagging 6 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. The Indian women's team achieved second position where Prachita Patil and Prashabdhi Nikose won gold in below 13 years and below 11 years categories respectively;

India also bagged five slivers and seven bronze. France stood third taking one gold. Whereas Russia and Brazil took a silver and a bronze respectively. The participant countries were Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Russia and France. This championship was organised under the banner of World Karate-do Traditional with the guidance of Shihan Lindomar Rodrigues, President WKT. KKIFI was appointed the oragniser of this championship and Shihan Ravikant Meshram, Director KKIFI and Shihan Amit Shende, secretary KKIFI conducted this event with the help of a team of masters who judged the performances of the participants through an online platform.
