Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Minister Nitin Gadkari are on a tour to Nagpur. Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of Madhav Netralaya in Nagpur. Addressing the event, CM Fadnavis said that Madhav Netralaya in Nagpur will emerge as an important institute for eye diseases, not only for Vidarbha and Maharashtra but also for the entire Central India. Addressing the event, CM Fadnavis expressed his happiness and said that the greatest gift is the gift of sight.

He said, “It is a matter of great joy for all of us that the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) of Madhav Netralaya is taking place today. For many years, Padho Netra Khedi has been working tirelessly, bringing light into the lives of many through the Madhav Netra Peeth. We all know that the greatest gift is the gift of sight, and there can be no greater service than bringing happiness through it. Our volunteers have been consistently engaged in this noble work for the past 30 years, and their dedication continues to grow. At present, there is a great need for eye care services across the country. Eye donation has also gained momentum on a large scale. Many people take the pledge and contribute by donating their eyes, which is extremely essential. Institutions like these should be established in every state of our country.”

Congratulating the administrators of the Netralaya, he said, “I firmly believe that Madhav Netralaya in Nagpur will not only be a significant institution for Maharashtra but for the entire central India. It will provide relief to many suffering from visual impairments and will be a blessing for many individuals. Therefore, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the administrators of Madhav Netralaya. Your commitment to this noble cause is commendable, and I wish for the continued success of this service-oriented mission. I also extend my gratitude for the honor bestowed upon me. Once again, on behalf of all of us, I welcome our country's most popular leader, our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Bhai Modi Ji. Thank you. Jai Maharashtra!”

Earlier today, to show his respect and offer flowers to RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh, Nagpur. Alongside him were Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the RSS, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
