On Monday, CM Fadnavis inspected the ongoing construction of the Sports Hub at Mankapur's Divisional Sports Complex and the Twin Towers at the District Collector’s Office premises. He was accompanied by guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, divisional commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, district collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, chief engineer of the Public Works Department Dinesh Nandanwar, superintendent engineer Janardan Bhanuse, executive engineer Abhijit Kuchewar, deputy director of sports Shekhar Patil, and sub-divisional engineer Prashant Shankarpure.

Focus on solar energy

Fadnavis highlighted that the Law University building has already achieved energy self-sufficiency. Keeping in mind sustainable development and environmental concerns, the Sports Complex and the Commissionerate should also aim for energy self-sufficiency. He stressed that solar energy must be the primary power source, and all construction should meet green building standards.
