For consecutive second day, the number of positive corona patients in the district where less than the number of recovered patients.

However, the death toll is alarming and the medical fraternity is of the view that the number should reduced soon.

On Wednesday, 4,399 patients were found in Nagpur district. Of these, 2,534 patients were from Nagpur city and 1,853 patients were from rural areas.

In the last 24 hours, 7,400 patients have recovered from corona. Of these, 4,682 patients were from city and 2,718 from rural areas. The death toll went up on Wednesday compared to Tuesday, 82 deaths were reported. This included 48 from city and 22 from rural areas and 12 from outside the district.

The number of active patients fell further on Wednesday. There are a total of 66,116 active patients in the district. Of these, 36,648 patients are from city and 29,468 patients are from rural areas. Out of the active patients, 53,339 patients are in home isolation, while 12,777 patients are admitted in various hospitals.

More than 21,000 tests

Around 21,612 samples were tested in last 24 hours. This included 15,298 samples from city and 6,314 samples from rural areas. So far 23,79,061 samples have been tested in the district.
