Nagpur, June 30

The Covid infection rate which was on upswing in last two months, has come down to below 1 percent in June. In the month of June. 2,66,861 samples were tested, out of which 2,447 samples came positive. In such a situation, only 0.91 per cent infection rate was recorded in June 2021, which is good news for the people of Nagpur. Not only this, 8,249 patients recovered. Till June 30, only 336 active patients are left in the district. Deaths have also stopped in the district for the last four-five days. In the month of June. 123 infected people died.

The infection rate in Nagpur in March 2020 was 2.40 percent, which was the lowest till June 2021. The infection rate was at 5.41 per cent in April 20, 4.27 per cent in May 20, 7.84 per cent in June 20, 7.05 per cent in July. After that the infection started spreading rapidly in August. It was 13.65 per cent in August 20, 24.63 per cent in September 20, 13.65 per cent in October 20, 5.93 per cent in November 20, 8.22 per cent in December 20, 7.86 per cent in January 21. After that the infection started increasing again in February 21. It was 8.55 per cent in February 21, 20.11 per cent in March 21, 27.89 percent in April 21 and 12.74 percent in May 21. It is clear from the data that the lowest infection rate during the Covid period was recorded in June 21. In July 2020, 98 deaths were recorded followed by 123 in June 2021. In such a situation, it is clear that along with the infection in Nagpur, the deaths also have come down.

The highest number of 2,290 deaths occurred in the peak of the second wave of Covid in April 21. In the first wave, 1,406 deaths were recorded in September 2020.

No deaths on the last day of June

No infected died in Nagpur district even on the last day of June. No one died in the district for four consecutive days. On 26, two deaths were recorded in the district. Around 25 new positives were found on Wednesday. 91 infected recovered. So far a total of 4,67,691 infected have become healthy. The recovery rate reached 98.04 percent. At the same time, a total of 4,77,052 were found infected and 9,025 deaths. Among the infected found on Wednesday. there are 16 from city, and 9 from rural areas.

9,668 samples tested

Out of 9,668 samples, 7,896 are from city and 1,772 from rural areas. With the improvement in the health of the patients, the active patients have come down to 336. In this, there are 292 from the city and 44 from rural areas. There are 191 in home isolation while 145 patients are under treatment.
